Pillow Inserts
100% New Zealand wool with organic cotton covers. We opted for wool inserts because it is hypoallergenic and naturally resistant to mold, mildew, dust mites and bacteria. Also it is breathable and we like the hand feel!
Green Drycleaning
Conventional dry cleaning is not green. The main ingredient, perchloroethylene (or perc), is a central nervous system depressant and is listed as a hazardous air pollutant under the federal standards. There are three less toxic alternatives, although none is without environmental effect. We recommend the liquid CO2 method. Avoid the wet cleaning method for anything with wool. Sustainability
Goldiehome is not sustainable in the strictest definition of the word. The fact that we manufacture abroad and import our goods makes our processes not quite "green". We chose to work with factories abroad because they are trusted sources for environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing as well as having superior technical capabilities to produce high quality luxury products. In our quest for more sustainable methods we are looking for alternative sources. Once we find a good match we would like to bring our manufacturing to closer to home.
